      Adding meta tags to blogger’s Theme is a way to get traffic from search engines like Google.com, Yahoo.com, Bing.com, Duckduckgo and other search engines like this. Specially the meta description is the most important thing to bring your blog posts to google search front page.

      Meta tags are nothing but tags which describes your site or blog and tells the search engines what your site or blog is all about. Adding HTML meta tags is a trick used for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Meta tags allows search engines to index your web pages and posts more accurately and specifically. In other words, Meta tags communicate with search engines and give more nformation about your website or blog.

      The two most important meta tags that we should add in Blogger’s Template for SEO are:     
             Meta description which describes your site or blog and
             Meta Keywords which tells about your site or blog keywords (what your site is all about).

     Here is how to add HTML META TAGS to your blogger’s Template:
  1)     Go to your Blogger’s Theme and then click on Edit HTML.

   2)     Search for <head> line which is usually few lines below the beginning and give few spaces to differentiate it from rest of HTML code. 

   3)     Paste the following code and edit it with the following edition:
      DESCRIPTION: Replace it with your blog description.
      KEYWORDS: Replace it with the keywords of your blog.
      AUTHOR NAME: Replace it with author's name (Your name).

               The code is:
<meta content='DESCRIPTION' name='Description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS' name='Keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR NAME' Name='author'/>

   
    4)     Click on Save Theme.
